Tips : Better breathing and positive posture techniques
The breath is the power behind the voice. Try to initiate your breath from the diaphragm, feeling your ribs widen as you do (as opposed to your shoulders rising).
One of the reasons many of us have inefficient breathing technique is because of poor posture habits. Try to improve your posture by standing with your feet as wide as your hips. Raise and lower your shoulders so that they sit in a neutral (not too far forward, not too far back) position to maximise your chest area, and to minimise tension. Keep your shoulders low. Lengthen your middle area to allow room for the diaphragm to work for you. Think of this good posture and note how it feels. Try to make this your default posture. It will take time to get used to it, but it promotes good breathing and voice technique, and adds to your presence.
