Frequently Asked Questions
What makes these workshops so effective?
It works for everyone. You have charisma, you are a skilled influencer, you can achieve your goals…when the conditions are right. When the conditions are less favourable, i.e. when you feel vulnerable, unprepared, exposed, unsure…then you tend to believe that only other people have these skills. You will learn to tap into your innate persuasive power.
Do you only run workshops?
Peggy Forell is happy to give you one-to-one coaching, on whatever area you want to work on. Often she is called in to work with an individual who has an important presentation to make, to a high-value audience. You will work together for one, two or three sessions, until you - the client - are absolutely happy the presentation will get the results it was designed for.
What will I learn?
You will learn about yourself. You will move through the painful moment of self-consciousness and negativity, to self-awareness, from where you can draw positive information about yourself and the people around you. You already have the resources. You will learn to identify them, and so use them at will.
Does it cost a lot?
AdVocality will adjust the fees according to whether you are a corporate client or a not-for-profit client. Individuals who are financing the coaching themselves will be able to negotiate a fee which is affordable.
What has AdVocality
been doing recently?
Congratulations to the teams of University of Freiburg and
Kings College London. They competed, along with over 180 teams
from around the world, at the 17th Willen C Vis International
Commercial Arbitration Moot competition in Hong Kong and Vienna
in March 2010.
Peggy has been working with teams as they practise for the
event. While professional arbitrators help the students with
the technical aspects of pleadings and memoranda, Peggy helps
them with their oratory and delivery skills. Her workshops
take them through vocal and non-verbal communication techniques,
as well as rehearsal strategies.
It paid off! The team from the University of Freiburg won
the event in Hong Kong, and Kings College London won it in
Vienna. The months of preparation culminate in a week of competition
and social events in Hong Kong and/or Vienna. It's a wonderful
opportunity for practitioners of international arbitration
of the future and the present to mix and learn. Peggy was
so pleased to be a part of the events leading up to and taking
place at the competition, and is thrilled for her winning
teams.
