Who will benefit from AdVocality training

AdVocality workshops and coaching will benefit you when you feel ready to enhance your interpersonal skills as you communicate to achieve your desired outcomes.

The AdVocality workshop format is highly interactive. Numbers work best at around six people. The feedback originates from the trainer and develops into the whole group contributing feedback. This works because the learning environment is fun, efficient and safe.

Peggy Forell will design a workshop to meet your needs, of course. You will have a range of participants in mind, with various levels of experience. Whoever attends will come away with a 20-page handbook, which serves as a backup to techniques learned. Other relevant documentation will also accompany the workshops.

Women in particular might discover something new from an AdVocality presentation skills or influencing skills workshop. Women's voices are built differently from men's, and their emotions are more immediately transmitted through the voice. By understanding how her voice works, she can control how she wants her voice to sound.

Turn to AdVocality when you need to present more successfully. Your listener should say: "I'm glad I went to that presentation, I know what I have to do now, and how I will do it." If your presentation falls short of this ideal, AdVocality will guide you to success next time.

Workshops and coaching

AdVocality offers workshops and individual coaching in the following areas:

  • Presentation skills - including voice work, body and posture work, breathing techniques, understanding stress, preparing your talk, putting it all together. In other words, learning to keep a lot of plates spinning, and - crucially - learning to accept that plates wobble. The use of video/dvd recording is likely in these workshops.
  • Influencing skills - including assertiveness, negotiating, and persuasiveness. These areas are explored through demonstrations, scenarios and - if relevant - watching a classic film for understanding principles.
  • People management - including giving and receiving feedback, understanding the difference between coaching and mentoring, delegation skills, making the most of meetings, and making a positive impact at networking events.
  • Psychometric testing - insights into yourself and team members, through the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
